Déa Sylvia Homsi Lutaif was born in São José do Rio Preto/SP. A history and geography teacher, she made her professional career in teaching. He also dedicated himself to the study and work in the field of visual arts, so that his first works resulted from the studies of psychology of art, linguistics, and semiotics. From that time, the works Escritemas and Visual Codes stand out, exhibited at the Instituto de Arte do Planalto, in the center of São Paulo, and at Ibilce, São José do Rio Preto/SP. He attended the studio of the artist Sérgio Fingermann in São Paulo, and went on to study the art of Sumiê with the artist Massao OKINAKA, at the Aliança Cultural Brasil – Japan S.P. In his trajectory, he continues to reflect on art issues, and the role of the artist in society.
